Art and Artist of Cincinnati Union Terminal
Learn about the creation of over 18,000 square feet of public art space. Hear about the artists that created these beautiful art elements and learn about some of the processes these artists used. See images of some existing and some lost art works as well as photos of pieces that have been restored. Understand how artists Reiss, Bourdelle, Hentschel and Keck contributed to making Cincinnati Union Terminal a National Historic Landmark.
Tour of Cincinnati Union Terminal Thursday May 22, 2025, 7 PM to 8:45 PM Cincinnati Museum Center*
Learn of the construction, architecture, and art in one of the finest examples of the Art Deco style. Hear details about the world-famous mosaic murals. Experience the beauty of the restored art pieces in newly renovated dining room. Visit the outstanding Cincinnati Union Terminal President’s Office. See today’s Amtrak waiting room, and the Rookwood Tea Room.
Visit Union Terminal’s Tower A*
Visit Union Terminal’s Tower A, the command center for the daily 216 trains that brought thousands of travelers safely in and out of the Union Terminal. Today, the room overlooks the active intermodal yard which brings cargo containers to our region.
*Please note: There are approximately 22 steps in the main building up to catwalk and about 35 steep steps to Tower A. Steps in main building are not as steep as those to Tower A.

Cost for both tours: $10 for historical society member; $15 for non-members. It should be noted that Barb is adding the optional Tower A tour free of charge, but steps are involved!

Parking: Free to Cincinnati Museum members; $6 non-members (suggest carpooling)
Registration starts at next program, February 17; will close May 12.
